Zoning Board of Adjustment
The Zoning Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial administrative body whose decisions affect private property rights to the same extent as court decisions. Its purpose is to enforce the meaning and spirit of the Zoning and Flood Damage Prevention Ordinances of the Town of Boonville. Specifically, this board hears: requests for variances, special use permits, and appeals from staff interpretation or enforcement of these ordinances.
Appeals
Appeals may be taken to the Board of Adjustment by any person aggrieved or by any officer, department, board or bureau of the Town of Boonville affected by any decision of a Town official based on the zoning ordinance. The Board of Adjustment meets quarterly at the Harvey E. Smith Municipal Building. To request a meeting or make an appeal please contact Town Hall at (336)367-7941.
